یقیں ہو تو کوئی راستہ نکلتا ہے
ہوا کی اوٹ بھی لے کر چراغ جلتا ہے

سفر میں اب کے یہ تم تھے کہ خوش گمانی تھی
یہی لگا کہ کوئی ساتھ ساتھ چلتا ہے

گُلافِ گُل میں کبھی، کبھی چاندنی کے پردے میں
سُنا ہے بھیس بدل کر بھی وہ نکلتا ہے

لکھوں وہ نام تو کاغذ پہ پھول کھلتے ہیں
کروں خیال تو پیکر کسی کا ڈھلتا ہے

رواں دواں ہے اِدھر ہی تمام خلقِ خدا
وہ خوش خرام جِدھر سِر کو نکالتا ہے

اُمید و یاس کی رُت آتی جاتی رہتی ہے
مگر یقین کا موسم نہیں بدلتا ہے
